Anthropology Lecture
Friday, 30 May 2008

For RTP Anthropology Day, Ives Goddard presented his research on endangered languages. There are approximately 6,000 recognized languages. Linguistic theory aims to account for the properties of the human language faculty and follows two premises: 1) all human languages share the same abstract rulebook and 2) the language faculty is a genetic inheritance of all humans.

RTP Fun

The skills & talents of students participating in the RTP Class of '08 runs deep and extensive, far beyond the reaches of scientific endeavors. For example, we learned Friday that Cat Sun can hold 19 grapes in her mouth! Hummm should we add this as a line to the RTP application form? Other talents?
