Plummers
Island
3
June 2007
There
were 8 RTP students who braved the cool,
cloudy, rainy weather to explore the 12
acre flora & fauna-filled wooded island
in the Potomac River. The day held many
surprises for the field trip leaders.
Entomologist. John Brown's black light
trap was stolen and the small mammal traps
put out by vertebrate zoologist Al Gardner
were empty. Weather significantly limited
the collecting and observing.
