Preliminary Classification of North American Satyrium Hairstreak Butterflies

A data matrix was developed using genitalia and other characters for North American members of the genus Satyrium and the related holarctic species Phaeostrymon alcestis. A preliminary phylogeny for Satyrium was derived from this data.
