Marine Algae of the Yucatan Peninsula

The purpose of this project was to find and review all the published accounts of studies done in the Yucatan Peninsula. All algae reported for the Yucatan (about 400 species) were then compiled into a list. The list included an introduction, historical review, and geographic features about the algae in the Yucatan Peninsula. This work is intended to aid persons working in the Yucatan or the Caribbean.

This research was supported by a grant from the James Smithson Society.
