Development of Techniques for use in Monocot Venation Studies

This project was part four in an on-going leaf survey conducted by Dr. Robert Faden, Stan Yankowski, and prior interns. It involved the development of a technique to X-ray leaves of monocots. Experimentation with clearing and staining monocot leaves was also done. Finally, a literature review was done on X-ray methods of botanical material.

This research was supported by a grant from the James Smithson Society.
