Advertisement Call Variation in the Leptodactylus mystaceus Species Cluster

This project involved the analysis of calls from Leptodactylus mystaceus, a frog from South America. This frog showed two kinds of calls: a pulsed call and a non-pulsed call. After analyzing all the data, it was determined that the individuals of two specific localities are a sibling species to the other individuals of L. mystaceus.

This research was supported by a grant from the James Smithson Society.
