Limited Character Taxonomy and Cytological Vouchers in Tradescantia.

A collection of Tradescantia indigenous to the U.S. was on loan from Missouri Botanical Gardens. Individual specimens in the collection were alleged to be cytological vouchers of a series of papers by Edgar Anderson. This project involved documenting the information of the sheet into a database, separating the true vouchers from those not matching a citation, and cross-referencing the sheet information with the information cited in the literature. The second half of this project involved making current identifications with Dr. Faden. After this, sheets were labeled and an extensive paper reporting research and findings was written.

This research was supported by a grant from the James Smithson Society.
