Marquesan Archipelago Scaevola and other Pacific Projects

This project covered a wide variety of tasks that were aimed at helping Warren write his Flora of the Marquesas Islands. These tasks included building a database on Marquesan plant specimens, preparing specimen labels, distributing duplicate specimens, etc. Marquesan specimens of the genus Scaevola were also examined. Two new species were found. The Scaevola treatment will also be used in the Flora. Work was also done on other Pacific Island specimens (especially Hawaiian) to help Warren prepare for lectures and trips.

This research was supported by a grant from the Educational Outreach Fund.
