Flora of St. John's Island

This project focused on the Flora of St. John Island, U.S. Virgin Islands. Labels and samples of specimens recently collected in the field were sorted for different herbaria. A bibliographical review about the pertinent literature was completed on the distribution of the families of plants present on the island. The second half of this project concerned the preparation of the treatement of the Piperaceae family for the flora as a contribution. The Flora is a long term project and will be published including the treatment prepared here.

This research was supported by a grant from the Educational Outreach Fund.
