Lichen Curation of D.C. and Vicinity Collection

Curated and inventoried lichen specimens from the District of Columbia and vicinity and worked out nomenclature problems when necessary (advised by Sherry Pittam). Learned INQUIRE database inventory system (advised by Chris Tuccinardi) and the GRASP report function (advised by Chris Tuccinardi and Dawn Arculus). Produced reports of the Smithsonian's DC and vicinity lichen collection from the inventory data for Sherry Pittam for use on her project - the compilation of a current checklist of DC area lichens. Analyzed listings for historical information, the results of which will be used as part of the introduction to the checklist.

This research was supported by a grant from the Educational Outreach Fund.
