Flora of the Guianas Processing

Flora of the Guianas is a 20 year project to document the plant species found in the Guianas Region--including Dutch Guiana, French Guiana, and Guiana. Work on this project included the following tasks: sorting the incoming collections in numerical sequence, distributing specimens with labels to a specialist for identification, sorting specimens waiting for identification, storing specimens waiting for identification, preparing specimens for outprocessing, counting specimens, typing invoices and packaging specimens for shipment, mounting specimens, and keying out plants.

This research was supported by a grant from the Educational Outreach Fund.
