"Someone famous said that systematics is next to Godliness. This is about the only place one will find systematic research available."

Fish Projects

The project was well designed. It was a great introduction to fish systematics, in which many useful taxonomic characters were learned, along with methods for quantifying these characters, ways to use the characters for phylogenetic analysis, and the many difficulties which come along during systematic research. Literature review, dissection, data gathering, computer work, statistical analysis, oral and written expression of work were also completed.

This research was supported by a grant from the Edcuational Outreach Fund.
