Compositae Curation

The Compositae Curation project is directed by Dr. Vicki Funk. The project involved arranging old specimens of plants, collected by Dr. Cuatrecasas, for future distribution to other herbaria in other American cities or foreign countries. These specimens were left many years in the basement of the Smithsonian and were never mounted. Also, old or useless folder covers in the herbarium were replaced with new folders.
