Flora of the Guianas

The Flora of the Guianas project is a long-term effort by several of the world's major herbaria to publish treatments of various families in the Plant Kingdom found in that region of the New World Tropics. Part of this project involved sorting incoming collections into numerical sequence, distributed specimens with labels to the specialists for identification, distributing identified duplicate specimens to the various herbaria involved with the project, updating field and collection notebooks with species identifications, storing specimens waiting for identification, and preparing specimens for outprocessing: counting specimens, typing inovices, and packaging specimens for shipment.
