Rock Creek Park Inventory

All of the projects conducted revolved around the compilation of a list of plants from Rock Creek Park. A gazeteer of localities in the park was produced using many old and new maps and publications. Inventoried batches were examined and all Rock Creek sheets were separated. The remainder of the raw data was taken from the DC herbarium and Rock Creek specimens were inventoried. All of the information was entered into a database file and fields for organization were added in printing out the information. The Rock Creek database and the Plummers Island file were also standardized. In the process of collecting information all specimens that should be in the DC collection were removed from the grass herbarium. Finally, general DC inventory and batching of unorganized data capture sheets was completed.

In addition, this project involved traveling to the Nature Conservancy to obtain revised scientific names for the Rock Creek list from Kartesz's revision of his synonymized list.
