Dear National Science Foundation,

My name is Navarro P. Bharat and I am a science teacher employed with DC Public Schools at Anacostia Senior High School. I was very fortunate to be chosen by Mary Sangrey for a RET position for teachers at the Smithsonian Institution.

The RET experience has been very rewarding and invigorating for me as a participant . My PI - Dr. Brian Huber was very helpful in guiding me through my research project. However, the take home message is the transferring of this experience to the classroom and the children of the DCPS namely Anacostia Senior High School. I honestly believe that the children of the District of Columbia Public School will be enlighted to learn that the Smithsonian Institution is not only a showboard of preserved artifacts but a leading teaching and research institute.

Again, I will like to take this opportunity to thank the following person or persons and the various organizations. Foremost is Mary Sangrey for initiating and implementing this program, also the National Science Foundation for their generous financial support, John Hopkins University, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and everyone that has made this RET experience a tremendous success.

Thanks,

Sincerely,

Navarro P. Bharat, Ph.D
