Intern List 2006

In 2006 a total of 192 internship appointments were recorded by the National Museum of Natural History, including 10 whose appointment was terminated or not successfully completed and 1 student declined. Interns contributed 58,092 hours in 2006. There were 20 appointments that carried over from the previous year (2005) and there were 172 new internship appointments started (registered) during 2006. Of the 2006 internship appointments, 24 carried over into the new year (2007).

The Museum also follows a fiscal year. In FY 06 (1 Oct 05 to 30 Sep 06) 197 internship appointments were recorded at NMNH. This represents 20% of all (1,006) FY 06 recorded Smithsonian internship appointments.

The following is a list of students who participated in internship positions at Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in 2006. This list includes the student's name, the affiliated institution during their internship, the title of the internship project, the name of the supervisor/sponsoring NMNH staff, the assigned NMNH unit/office in which the internship was conducted, and the dates of the appointment.
