To date, in 2008 a total of 172 internship appointments have been recorded by the National Museum of Natural History, with 44 interns currently in-residence, 72 anticipated to start their appointment soon, 56 who have already completed their internship, 2 who decline to be included in the listing, and 0 whose registered internship was terminated, not successfully completed or declined.

The following is a list of students selected for internship positions at Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. This list includes the student's name, the affiliated institution during their internship, the title of the internship project, the name of the supervisor/sponsoring NMNH staff, the assigned NMNH unit/office in which the internship was conducted, and the dates of the appointment.

Intern Statistics for FY 08

Although most of our reporting is based on calendar year, the Museum also follows a fiscal year (FY 08: 1 Oct 07 to 31 Sep 08) for annual reporting as well. From 1 Oct 07 to 31 Dec 07 an additional to 25 internship appointments were recorded at NMNH.

There were 29 appointments that carried over from ca 2007 to ca 2008.
