Fellows include graduate students as well as pre- and post-doctoral scholars selected for an academic appointment at Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. Some fellows are in-residence full time while others are mainly off-site, but working under the guidance of an NMNH scientist and visiting the Museum.
