In
1997 the Research Training Program implemented a web-based application
process and began accepting application materials electronically via
e-mail and on-line through the web. Electronic sharing of information
and submission of application materials steadily increased over the
subsequent years. In 2001 the application and review processes were
completely automated utilizing web technologies.
