Research specialties: mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry of pegmatites; petrogenesis and evolution of pegmatites and pegmatite-generating granites; systematic mineralogy; regional distribution of pegmatites in the Appalachians.
· Bernice Coar-Cobb is a professor of Biology and Principle Investigator for LSAMP and AGEP at Miles College. She will explore the research activities in the Department of Vertebrate Zoology, Division of Herpetology with Dr. Kevin deQueiroz.

· Zetra Wheeler is administrative assistant at the All Nations LSAMP center. She will explore the research activities in the Department of Anthropology with Dr. Joallyn Archambault.

· Tyrone Smith is Program Coordinator for the Colorado LSAMP Center. He will explore the research activities in the Department of Mineral Sciences with Dr. Tim McCoy.

· Julie Turner is a the administrative assistant for the CO-AMP program at Fort Lewis College. She will explore the research activities in the Department of Vertebrate Zoology, Division of Birds with Dr. Gary Graves.

· Konrad Wright is a Freshman at the City College of the City University of New York majoring in Electrical Engineering. He will explore the research activities in the Department of Mineral Sciences with Dr. Richard Fiske.

Research specialties: physical volcanology of submarine pyroclastic eruptions, especially in the Tertiary and Recent of Japan; structural evolution of Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii, with special focus on the volcano's history of explosive eruptions and it's mobile south flank.
· Claude Brathwaite is Project Administrator for the New York City LSAMP Center. He will explore the research activities in the Department of Botany with Dr. Paula DePriest.
