Research Experiences for Undergraduates
The
National Science Foundation has been supporting
the research of the Research Training Program
student participants since 1992. A total of
183 students have been supported through 5 separate
REU awards, including 107 women and 39 minorities:
12 African Americans, 19 Hispanic Americans,
6 Native Americans, and 2 Native Hawaiians.
A
total of 176 scientific works have resulted
from student collaborations including 118 publications,
53 presentations, and 5 papers are in preparation.
At least 88 students have gone on to graduate
school including 26 Masters Degree and 62 Ph.D.
