| REGIS QUIRIN (1931-
) AND LEON POPLAWSKI (1934- ) PHOTOGRAPHS Regis Quirin is a
graduate of the Pratt Institute with a degree in graphic illustration. Poplawski is a
physicist with a B.S. from New York University. Having heard that the Caribs met Columbus
on his first voyage, they traveled to the island of Dominca to visit their reservation.
The resulting photographs include portraits, landscapes, housing, boats, villages,
basketry, fishing, and schools. Also included is a map, narrative of the trip, and list of
captions.
