This
sketched map depicts a remote yet substantial archaeological site near the border of
Honduras and Nicaragua. The site is known as Wankibila, sometimes spelled Guanquivila. An interesting theme of the text is the food that expedition members ate while staying in this region. For breakfast, the party had cocoa, corn cakes and rice; for lunch, rice and chicken; and for the evening supper, fried peccary, beans, boiled green bananas and chocolate.
