Ride Metrorail
Take the
Metro Green Line to the Suitland Station. When you leave the station, turn right (west) on Silver Hill Road. Then cross Suitland Parkway, walk a few hundred yards, and you'll see the Museum Support
Center and the Cultural Resource Center on the righthand side of the street. Ask the security guard at the gate to direct you to MSC.
The walk from the Metro to MSC takes 10-15 minutes. You'll need to show
a photo ID to enter the facility.
Ride the Smithsonian
Shuttle
The Smithsonian
operates a free shuttle bus from the National Museum of Natural History
to the Museum Support Center, which is approximately six miles southeast
of Washington, D.C. The shuttle bus departs from the museum's entrance
on Madison Drive (i.e., the Mall entrance) on the hour and arrives
at the Museum Support Center 27 minutes later. Please note the changes on MSC arrival starting with the 3:00 pm shuttle

will need a pass to ride the shuttle bus. When you make an appointment
to visit the archives, you'll receive a confirmation
message with instructions for obtaining a shuttle pass.
You will also need a photo ID to enter the Museum Support Center. Please
let us know if you would like to schedule a wheelchair-accessible
shuttle bus.
