Monthly Activity Summaries

Annual reports to member societies (submitted to each society prior to the society's annual meeting): 

2001 Overview (distributed to all member societies of the Ornithological Council)     

2002 Report submitted to the organizing societies of the North American Ornithological Conference (American Ornithologists' Union, Cooper Ornithological Society, Raptor Research Foundation, CIPAMEX, and Society for the Conservation and Study of Caribbean Birds)   

2002 Report submitted to the Waterbird Society (November 2002)

These monthly summaries are distributed to the OC Board of Directors and the officers and councilors of the OC member societies.  These summaries available here to give everyone an opportunity to learn how the Ornithological Council carries out its mission to:
 

• link the scientific community with public and private decision makers
• provide timely information about birds to help ensure scientifically-based decisions, policies, and management actions
• inform ornithologists of proposals and actions that affect birds or the study of birds
• speak for scientific ornithology on public issues
