INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE INTERNET VERSIONS OF
GUIDELINES TO THE USE OF WILD BIRDS IN RESEARCH

You have the choice of:

  1. Browsing and reading the Guidelines on-line using the HTML version on the World Wide Web. This version allows you to move directly to specific sections by clicking on the topics listed in the Table of Contents.  You can print entire sections simply by using your browser's print command or more limited sections of text by highlighting the text of interest before printing.

  2. Alternative: PDF formatted version

Citation form:

The internet version of Guidelines will change more frequently than will the print version, which may not be re-printed for several years.  Therefore, we encourage you to cite the internet version by including the URL (www.nmnh.si.edu/BIRDNET/GuideToUse) and the date.

Questions and comments:

We welcome your comments.  Suggestions for substantive changes will be reviewed by a committee and if accepted, will be incorporated into the Guidelines.  Questions are welcome, but we can not guarantee that someone will be available to reply.  Send comments to: ellen.paul@verizon.net.

To Purchase Copies of This Publication:

Printed copies are no longer available. We recommend that those who would like a printed copy print the pdf version of the 2nd Edition.
